Role Description:
GEOINT Capability Delivery Branch supports AGO and Defence through the implementation and sustainment of AGO’s ICT and satellite imagery systems. The branch is responsible for delivering major and minor projects and also performs project governance.
The Technical SME / Business Analyst is accountable for the design, development and implementation of the requirements for projects and systems to meet organisational business needs. The role will involve liaising and facilitating with business stakeholders, business analysts, program architects and development personnel.
Major Responsibilities:
Demonstrated ability as a requirements technical SME / Analyst to conduct the design, development and implementation of projects and systems to meet organisational requirements.
Knowledge and experience of the Australian Defence Force and how it operates particularly in relation to the C4ISREW and Geospatial domains.
Lead and manage large stakeholder groups focused on business outcomes.
Manage and participate in the process of requirements gathering and requirements change management processes.
Co-ordinate requirements resourcing according to project priorities.
Identify and manage project risk and issue management and in relation to the requirements process.
Provide leadership and advice to junior requirements personnel and business analysts.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Capability Life Cycle process within Defence and the related role of relative entities.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the application of Waterfall and Agile requirements processes.
Other Skills:
Knowledge of Defence intelligence systems and capabilities, especially GEOINT is desirable.

Core Hours:
8 hours per day between the hours of 7am and 7pm
Contracted personnel are to work no more than an average of 8 hours per day, unless requested to do so by the Contract Manager, and must take a minimum 30 minute break after 5 hours consecutive work.

Role Description:

The Business Analyst will be responsible for customer engagement, process modelling and development of system requirements. They will also be responsible for engaging with the team to ensure customer requirements are well understood and expectations on both sides are appropriately managed.
This position is responsible for the elicitation of business and technical requirements and the modelling of new and existing business processes to inform technical capability delivery for a fast paced, dynamic business unit.
The successful candidate will contribute to the support of one of our capabilities within a program. Major Responsibilities:
Facilitate various Agile processes such as Iteration / Release Planning, Backlog Refinement, Retrospective, Sprint Review, Daily Stand-up.
Increase the business value, collaborate with the product owner to create the product backlog by using Agile work practices.
Provide user stories to multi-disciplinary teams and define the business-driven acceptance criteria.
Support Agile practices for development teams and encourage the improvement of service delivery.
Assist with stakeholder engagement meetings involving customers that have unique and often conflicting requirements and priorities.
Gather, document, communicate and manage business and technical requirements.
Model & analyse moderately complex business processes.
Escalate issues and work with the team to prioritise feature delivery.
Communicate customer and developer needs regarding system improvements, enhancements, and elimination of problems and inefficiencies and acceptance testing, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
Assist in the development and management of a prioritised schedule of work.
Work with other business analysts and product owners to ensure products are fit for purpose and integrated wherever appropriate.

Role Description:
Working with the Endpoint Services Section management and the technical staff, the Business Analyst is accountable under general direction to:

identify, manage and communicate business requirements on behalf of Endpoint Services section

translate business requirements into functional specifications

work collaboratively with the Endpoints Project Manager to enable project delivery
•
work collaboratively with the Endpoints Technical Director to support the development of the Endpoints Roadmap.
