Role Description:
Access Foundations Branch within the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), will deliver cutting edge capabilities to support ASD’s Signals Intelligence and Offensive Cyber Capabilities. These capabilities consists of a combination of:

Delivery of new capability under the REDSPICE program,
-
Delivery of ASD's major capability programs and,
-
Enhancing and modernising existing capabilities.
To facilitate this ASD has a requirement for a Facilities/Data Centre Specialist. The Facilities/Data Centre Specialist will be responsible to assist with the acquisition and sustainment of infrastructure and data centre activities, including installation, removal, testing and configuration management.
Major Responsibilities:
Maintain, build, test, upgrade and document systems in the datacentre
Rack and stack new hardware, in addition to decommissioning old hardware
Upgrade software and firmware of networking hardware and servers
Design and implement configurations for networking hardware
Install server hardware, including installation and configuration the operating systems
Assist in the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures

Security Clearance:
Must hold a current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance. Candidates with a current Defence Intelligence Agency recognised Psychological Assessment (PA) preferred but not essential.
Core Hours:
Contracted personnel are to work no more than an average of eight hours per day between 7 am and 7 pm, Monday to Friday, unless requested to do so by the Contract Manager, and must take a minimum 30 minute break after five hours consecutive work.
Part-time arrangements will be considered.
