    Role: VMware Administrator - TFLSI-Hybrid Cloud
    Major SFIA level: ITOP 3
    Location: Russell Offices, ACT
    Start date: On or after 1 July 2022
    Term: 30 June 2023
    Part time arrangements: May be considered
    Clearance: Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV)

    Role Description:
    The VMware Administrator is required assist with the management of VMware virtual environment as per the direction from the technical lead and manager.

     Major Responsibilities:
    • Assist with security and configuration compliance, performance, capacity management. 
    • Provide assistance with ASD’s Service Catalogue, self Service, PaaS and software defined networking which may require scripting.
    • Assist in day-to-day operations, including investigation and remedy of faults in relation to customer’s VMware virtual environment.
    • Provide assistance in meeting customer’s Operational Level Agreements and working in Consultation with stakeholders and line management. 
    • Engage with relevant stakeholders in documentation development.

    Other Skills:
    • Experience with VMware virtual environment, VRA, NSX, Orchestrator, VRO Manager. vRealize Log insight

    SFIA Skills Required:
    • ITOP 3
    • PROG 3
    • PBMG 3

    ​Security Clearance:
    Must hold either a current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance OR have held a TSPV in the previous 12 month period (which has since been downgraded). Candidates with a current Defence Intelligence Agency recognised Psychological Assessment (PA) preferred but not essential.

    Core Hours:
    Contracted personnel are to work no more than an average of 8 hours per day between the hours of 7am and 7pm, unless requested to do so by the Contract Manager, and must take a minimum 30 minute break after 5 hours consecutive work.
    Part-time arrangements may be considered.
