Role Description:
CICDS Branch within the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), will deliver cutting edge capabilities to support ASD’s Signals Intelligence and Offensive Cyber Capabilities. These capabilities consists of a combination of:
Delivery of new capability under the REDSPICE program,
Delivery of ASD's major capability programs and,
Enhancing and modernising existing capabilities.
To facilitate this ASD has a requirement for a System Administrator.
The System Administrator will be responsible for working under direction as a member of a team responsible for developing bespoke system/software solutions, integration, documenting technical processes and assisting with testing and deployment.
The role will need very high level system administration skills and a proven ability to work within an integrated team of technical/non-technical personnel.
Major Responsibilities:
Work as a leading technical member of an integrated technical and non-technical team.
Assist with the planning and prioritisation of activities and tasks, applying technical expertise and advice on aspects of system development and integration.
Contribute to and support leadership efforts to improve engineering processes, and solution architecture.
Take responsibility for the development of systems using a variety of technologies and development environments, to ensure it meets business requirements.
Develop solutions in line with the DevSecOps principles to critically evaluate and understand security.
Identify system interdependencies and liaise with other system stakeholders to resolve conflict and coordinate integrated solutions.
Work as a leading member of an integrated Agile team.
Document technical processes.
Develop a schedule of work and report on progress.
Other Skills:
Demonstrate experience in Python, including knowledge of common design patterns and language standards
Demonstrate experience with Linux System Administration
Demonstrate a strong foundation of networking fundamentals.
Demonstrate experience in consuming/using self-hosted cloud solutions, preferably OpenStack.
Demonstrate experience with infrastructure automation such as Terraform and Ansible
Demonstrate knowledge/experience in system monitoring/observability. Preferably having experience with Prometheus and Wazuh.

Role Description:
The Project Manager will be a highly organised, dynamic, outcome orientated individual with excellent communication skills who is confident to break down large projects into discrete work packages from concept to delivery, for a diverse range of customers.
The Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning and implementation of projects, including defining the scope and requirements, developing plans and schedules, managing the project’s budget, overseeing and planning resource allocation and work packages, managing risks and issues and communicating formally and informally on the project’s progress. ASD seeks Project Managers who can think critically and utilise their excellent problem solving skills, as well as undertake negotiations, delegate effectively, and make timely decisions.
Major Responsibilities:
Administer, monitor and maintain, complex Microsoft technologies. Provide advance skills in delivery of services to ICT platforms utilising Commonwealth approved designs.
Manage capabilities that maintain the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) while monitoring the environment.
Develop, maintain and perform operational procedures and document changes to ensure operational tasks are performed reliably and consistently to reduce the risk of unplanned outages
Provide administration with focus on scripted cross forest object migration, planning and coordination.
Install, maintain, decommission and support MS Windows Sever 2016, 2019 and 2022.
Other Skills:
Experience in the successful delivery of complex ICT outcomes across an Enterprise.
Proven experience in Windows system administration along with its roles and features.
Demonstrated experience and understanding of ITIL processes and procedures is considered advantageous

Role Description:
The Endpoint Services Section within the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) requires ICT System Administrators to maintain application support processes, and check that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. ICT System Administrators use application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports.
Major Responsibilities:
Use application management software and tools to investigate issues.
Investigate and coordinate the resolution of potential and actual service problems around system software.
Install, test and advise on the correct use of new versions of system software including those within a VDI environment.
Work as part of a team to ensure ICT hardware configuration and type is appropriate for application support and functional operations.

Role Description:

To facilitate this ASD has a requirement for a System Administrator. The System Administrator will be responsible, under general direction to manage servers and associated networking hardware and software and will have a proven ability to work within an integrated team of technical/non-technical personnel.
