    The Recruitment Consultant is responsible for the management of contractor care services for the Keane Consulting (Keane) business. Contractor care services include those relating to attracting and identifying potential contractors; managing the record keeping processes for potential and existing contractors; submitting responses to requests for quote (RFQs) and bids, proposals and applications to clients; managing contract negotiation and subsequent processing; and the ongoing management and delivery of contractor care activities.

    If you are selected to interview with us, we need you to come prepared to the interview relaxed. We will have an informal chat with you, over a coffee somewhere in one of Canberra’s awesome café’s and talk about Keane, what you are looking for, and discuss your application in a personal and non-confronting way.     Role Description: 

    The Office of the Commonwealth Ombudsman (the Office) is seeking to engage an experienced security officer to support the Security Team in delivering a program of works aligned with the Protective Security Policy Framework and ASIO Technical Notes. Specifically, the Office is seeking an officer to work collaboratively with the Agency Security Advisor in:

    • updating or developing security policies, procedures and risk management strategies
    • develop and/or deliver both targeted and general security awareness training supporting upgrades of infrastructure

    The Minerals Energy and Groundwater Information Services (MEGIS) Section provides specialised technical capabilities to support key outcomes of the Minerals Energy and Groundwater Division (MEGD), including scientific computing and data analytics. The Geoscientific computing team under the Information Services Section has primary responsibility for the design, development and maintenance of scientific workflow software for data modelling, processing and visualization. The team collaborates closely with geoscientists to deliver high value data-intensive projects, such as Seismic and Magnetotelluric data analysis processing and modelling, geochemical mapping using machine-learning. The team uses high performance computing platforms to develop and operate a wide range of scientific software systems. This role will work in the geoscientific computing team to develop, implement, test, and improve a wide range of software and algorithms in suitable programming languages.
     
     
    What you will do in this role:
    • Design, implement and test scientific computing software in suitable languages such as Python and Fortran, in high performance Linux environments.
    • Implement and improve scientific algorithms for data processing and modelling, in collaboration with geoscientists.
    • Apply software development best practices including continuous integration/delivery, refactoring, unit-testing, and automation.
    • Report to the team lead and support the collaborative team culture, including agile Sprint workflow.
    • Prepare and update systems documentation, including user guides and developer manuals
    • Assist with the delivery of user-training workshops when required.

    Role Description:
    The Application Administrator is accountable, under routine direction from the Enterprise Application Services (ESS) team and technical leads, to undertake moderately complex application and system administration including managing incidents, changes, problem outages, upgrades and patches. 
    The technical environment includes management of Windows Server virtual machines for application hosting, various commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) enterprise information and IT-enabling applications, sensitive customer data management, PowerShell continuous delivery workflows, and security, backup and performance tuning for applications and supporting services.  Tasks may include rebuilding, upgrading and configuring existing systems, scripted transformations of data sets and implementation, maintenance and improvement of automated system management scripts.
    The role collaborates with junior to senior technical specialists in a mixed contract/APS team, balancing daily operational support against weekly and multi-month Agile sprint deliverables.
    ESS enables Defence Intelligence Agency customers to securely manage corporate information.  ESS implement, secure, support and iterate a portfolio of document, record and information management applications; digital workflow; and enterprise-ICT enabling applications such as monitoring, data warehousing and analytics.
     
     
    Major Responsibilities:
    • Install, configure and sustain (monitor, test and apply patches and upgrades for) COTS applications to ensure system integrity and security, adhere to change management processes in coordinating outages.  Diagnose and resolve system and environment problems; implement break-fixes for diverse customers from individual users to system stakeholders. With a focus on creation of self-healing capabilities and automated testing, builds, deployment and provisioning of service for customers.
    • Configure, upgrade and extend COTS applications to integrate additional customer requirements and support demand growth, adhering to change management processes and contributing to continual improvement of team release management.
    • Security Administration: Investigate and resolve access control and data security concerns, record investigation steps and outcomes as directed, configure and implement system features and fixes to resolve security issues and maintain good security, escalate to management as necessary.
    • Identify operational problems and investigate, analyse and resolve them. Research, advise on and undertake as directed, proactive maintenance addressing capability deficiencies or ongoing system performance issues under changing environmental factors.  Collaborate with technical staff supporting related services in other teams to resolve issues with EAS services or where EAS service operation affects other services.  Provide system status updates to stakeholders by email, updates to tasking systems and in person.
    • Write and maintain operational and security documentation including System Security Plans, test/installation guides, change approval requests with change process plans and corporate knowledge summaries such as system diagrams and support procedures. 
    • Document daily work (steps taken, reasons and outcomes) to ensure transition of knowledge to the Commonwealth and to enable repeatability of procedures and compliance with relevant standards, including Commonwealth record keeping responsibilities.

    Major Responsibilities:

    Role Description:

     The Cloud Application Developer will work to the Technical Team Lead.
    The Environment:
