Role Description:
The VMware Administrator is required assist with the management of VMware virtual environment as per the direction from the technical lead and manager.
Major Responsibilities:
Design, install and maintain all server hardware and software systems.
Conduct Linux systems administration including Operating System installation, configuration, integration, hardening, software and patch management and documentation of Cyber Security Capability.

Design, develop and maintain all system tools for all scrips and automation processes and monitor system capacity and usage.
Identify and analyse system performance issues, work in consultation with relevant stakeholders to recommend and implement remediation actions.

Other Skills:
Knowledge and experience in Authentication and Authorisation technologies. (experience with Red Hat IPA is preferred)
Understanding of various protocols

Role Description:

Role Description:
The Endpoint Services Section within the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) requires ICT System Administrators to maintain application support processes, and check that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. ICT System Administrators use application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports.
Major Responsibilities:
Administer, monitor and maintain, complex Microsoft technologies. Provide advance skills in delivery of services to ICT platforms utilising Commonwealth approved designs.
Manage capabilities that maintain the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) while monitoring the environment.
Develop, maintain and perform operational procedures and document changes to ensure operational tasks are performed reliably and consistently to reduce the risk of unplanned outages
Provide administration with focus on scripted cross forest object migration, planning and coordination.
Install, maintain, decommission and support MS Windows Sever 2016, 2019 and 2022.
Other Skills:
Experience in the successful delivery of complex ICT outcomes across an Enterprise.
Proven experience in Windows system administration along with its roles and features.
Demonstrated experience and understanding of ITIL processes and procedures is considered advantageous

Role Description:

Role Description:
JP2289-1 is a rapidly growing 6-year project within ASD to build and uplift ASD systems and support organisation elements for the introduction of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, communities and tactical users into the information environment. Project activities include expanding the existing network, computing systems, complex gateway services, cloud services, mission services, data management services, and deployable systems. JP2289-1 is executing a highly innovate delivery strategy enabling multi-classification working and a partnership between the ASD and Defence enterprises.
To facilitate this project outcome, ASD has a requirement for a System Administrator. Under broad direction from the Commonwealth, the System Administrator will be responsible for the management of multiple Standard Operating Environments (SOE) to support the delivery of JP2289-1.
Major Responsibilities:
Manage multiple SOE systems (Windows, Linux etc.)
Upgrade, install and configure application software and computer hardware
Troubleshooting and provide technical support
Create and manage system permissions and user accounts
Perform regular security tests and security monitoring
Maintain network and network file types
Support the Technical Leadership team as required

Demonstrated skills and relevant qualifications with Microsoft Windows Server and client OS systems administration/deployment
Demonstrated skills and relevant qualifications with Microsoft Active Directory administration including support technologies (Group Policy, DNS, DFS)
Desirable
Demonstrated experience and qualifications in Microsoft server technologies (including Exchange, WSUS, MECM)
